What is the swine flu ? Swine flu is a group of swine influenza virus that can cause flu in swines. Where is the virus that caused outbreaks of bird flu in humans is derived from the strain type A influenza virus H1N1. The genetic virus is also found as part of the human flu, or avian flu.

Symptoms.
Symptoms begin with the same with ordinary flu, the cough, fever, sore throat, headache, runny nose, fatigue and general muscle pain. Vomiting and diarrhea can occur. In the case of the weight, the development of the disease progress rapidly (within 5 minutes tempo) to symptoms such as pneumonia (short of breath and difficult).
This virus can cause serious symptoms, although still difficult to them. Most cases in the U.S. is light and does not become fatal. Conversely in Mexico the symptoms become severe and fatal. It is not explained, especially in the young group. It appears that the spread between humans via inhalation material (droplets) are infectious, which is produced at the time of coughing, sneezing or talking.
Anti-virus medicines.
Anti-viral medicine that is used for bird flu can be used to prevent swine flu virus. There are 4 (four) types of anti-viral medicine approved in the United States (oseltamivir, zanamivir, amantadine and rimantadine). Influenza virus A (H1N1) that cause flu in swines that detected in America and Mexico turns resistant amantadine and rimantadine. In laboratory tests prove that they are sensitive (susceptible) of oseltamivir and zanamivir.
Vaccine.
Although influenza vaccine is not effective against the common strain of swine flu virus, but still give consideration to the efforts to prevent the occurrence of swine flu.
Prevention efforts.
By applying good hygiene (personal Hygiene). Daily action form:
* Close the mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing with a tissue. And dispose of waste place the tissue after use.
* Wash hands quite often, using soap and water. Especially after coughing or sneezing. Alcohol-based cleanser is also effective. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth. Because the virus spreads through this action.
* Avoid contact with sick people.
* The distribution between humans through coughing and sneezing such as this.
If you are sick, you should stay at home and limit contact with others in order not to infect others.
