The one if not the most versatile member of vitamin B complex is pyridoxine of vitamin B6. Better yet, our body only need a very small amount of vitamin B6. Like other member of vitamin B, it works in close relation, especially, with folic acid, niacin, and cobalamin. They task is contributing in numerous metabolic function of our body. Vitamin B6 helping our body in convering amino acid into protein. Vitamin B6 also needed in changing intaked sugar into energy essential. The basic is vitamin B6 take important role in changing our intake food into something that our body can store or use it immediatly. Especially for carbohydrate and protein from food become a form of protein and corbohydrate that our body can handle.

Our body need different kind of proteins and vitamin B6 will make sure that the correct form for our body is available. Every time we ate proteins either from animal or vegetables, vitamin B6 will examines them and make some required change to make them suitable for our body need. Let’s take other example. Vitamin B6 is responsible in haemoglobin creation, and we know that haemoglobin function is transporting oxygen in our blood circulation to every cell in our body. Vitamin B6 also help in producing hormones that regulate blood pressure, and also help in various enzymes and neurotransmitter production.

The recommended daily intake for vitamin B6 is only 2 mg. This small amount of vitamin B6 take very important role in more than 60 enzymes production. The largest source of vitamin B6 are fish, eggs, meat, chicken, or any food that rich with protein. Todays packed food such bread and sereal containing added vitamin B6 to make sure that we get the daily amount recommended. Vitamin B6 also beneficial for our immune system and healthy heart condition. Vitamin B6 sometimes needed by people with diabetic and asthmatics problems. Please remember that high doses of vitamin B6 will be toxic.

Since vitamin B6 can be found in from many source of daily food, many people get enough vitamin B6 from daily intake of normal diet. Several group of people that need more vitamin B6 for their special condition are pregnant or breastfeeding woman, vegetarians, and those who allergic to some animal produce. For pregnant or breastfeeding woman have to take slightly larger protion of vitamin B6 to make sure that the baby will get enough vitamin B6 also. It is advisable to increase the comsumption of food with high level of protein. And for strict vegetarian and people with allergic to animal produce better take additional supplement of vitamin B6, of course by doctor’s prescription. As an end note, fruits and vegetables are poor source of vitamin B6.

Vitamin B12 very important for our health. The other name for vitamin B12 is cobalamin. Vitamin B12 main task is converting fats, proteins, and carbohydrate into energy. Vitamin B12 also needed for healthy blood, especially the red cell, so it help in preventing heart deseases, and keeping immune system to fuction at its max. Vitamin B12 additional task is protecting our nerve cells by creating a kind of cover or shield.

From all vitamin B12 benefits, it most important function is forming healthy red blood cells. But, not only red blood cells that needing of vitamin B12, white blood cells also need vitamin B12 to function properly. As mentioned before, all nerve cells also in need of vitamin B12 for making a protective layer that made from fat. When there’s not enough vitamin B12 to make the protective layer, all nerve will be affected. The dangerous part is all nerve in our brains will suffer, in other words, our brain might not function as it use to be.

The interesting part is, our body only need small amount of vitamin B12 regularly. One of the problem is our body can’t absorb vitamin B12 easily. It need help from inside our stomach to make vitamin B12 well absorbed. Vitamin B12 only found in food that originated from animal. The examples are eggs, fish, meat, and liver. Most of us comsuming vitamin B12 more than what needed by our body, usually only half of our daily intake. What about the other half that do not needed by our body? Don’t worry, our body have the ability to recycle the vitamin B12, so most likely we will not get vitamin B12 deficiency. With above information, it is clear that vegetarians shall take vitamin B12 supplements.

When our body lacking of vitamin B12, the most obvious sign is anemia. It is clear that when we do not have enough vitamin B12, our red blood cell will suffer. When the amount of healthy red blood cell is not enough, the we get the anemia. But anemia can also caused by absorbing problem in our stomach. When our stomach do not create intrinsic factors or not quite enough to help in absorbing vitamin B12, anemia will occur. When this symptom happen, most likely our doctor with prescribed some vitamin B12 supplement for daily intake.

It is important to note that after ages of 50s, the production of intrinsic factor in our stomach drastically slowing down. So, those senior citizens categorized as high risk in vitamin B12 deficiency, and most likely need vitamin B12 supplement. Children and pregnant women also categorized as high risk in vitamin B12 deficiency. Children need vitamin B12 to grow up and for pregnant women to share it with the baby.

Vitamin C has to be the most well known vitamin these days. It is not surprising, because the body needs vitamin C for more than 300 functions. In fact, vitamin C has been shown to help protect against heart disease, cancer and other serious diseases. Without vitamin C the body will not be able to cure itself either. This is because vitamin C is vital for the formation of collagen. When a person has a cut or lesion is a collagen that helps repair the damage and without sufficient c vitamin this would be almost impossible. Collagen has a multitude of functions in the body, including keeping the organs in place, and it would not be able to do that without enough vitamin c.

Vitamin C is also an antioxidant for the body and helps other vitamins and minerals to be absorbed better. Folic acid and iron, for example, are in need for vitamin C to maximize their usefulness. The more vitamin C the body has the best defense against colds and other common diseases and vitamin C may not prevent a person catching a virus but help accelerate the recovery process.

There is no vitamin C in almost all fruits and vegetables, but some have much higher content of vitamin C than others. Melons and blueberries are high in vitamin c. In fact, tropical fruits are the highest amounts of vitamin C of all fruits. Hot peppers are among the richest sources of vitamin C when it comes to vegetables. The hottest pepper, the highest content of vitamin C is. Unfortunately, vitamin C is water soluble so many vegetables lose their effectiveness as an access provider vitamin if boiled for a long time. Steam or quick stir frying vegetables ensures that more of their vitamin C content is maintained. The recommended daily amount of vitamin C is easily obtained from eating five servings of fruits and vegetables a day are consumed raw or cooked quickly.

Vitamin C is very useful in ensuring that people get enough vitamin C. However, with a balanced diet the amount of vitamin C the body receives is likely to be sufficient. However, if a person begins feeling tired or lethargic then a C vitamin will help overcome this. No danger of having too much vitamin C that the body simply excreted the excess.

Vitamin D is not the only vitamin that is obtained from the food consumed. In contrast, vitamin D is produced by sunlight on the skin. There has been much coverage in the media about the dangers of getting too much sun, but it is essential that the skin is exposed to sunlight to obtain the recommended daily amount of vitamin D. In fact, the amount of time a person has to spend in the sun to receive a sufficient dose of vitamin D is very small and only a few minutes a day is sufficient and not have any adverse effect on the amount of ultra – violet light received.

The most important function of vitamin D to help control the amount of calcium absorbed from food. Most of calcium is used to build strong bones and teeth, but also need to send messages along nerves and muscles to help the heart, such as muscles to contract. Vitamin D is ensuring that there is enough calcium in the blood to carry out these tasks. Other functions that require vitamin D are related to the immune system and cree which is also a contributing factor in reducing the risk of cancer, particularly colon cancer.

Variant of vitamin D that is formed under the skin is known as vitamin D3 or cholecalciferol. This vitamin D is created when ultraviolet sunlight reacts with a type of cholesterol that is located underneath the skin naturally. The D3 is converted into an active form of vitamin D in the liver and then diverted to where it’s needed most. Some of the vitamin D remains in the liver and kidneys to help reabsorb calcium from the blood. The rest of the vitamin D is spread to the bones to help them retain their calcium and the intestines to aid absorption of calcium from food.

Although the majority of vitamin D is formed through skin exposure to sunlight, some foods contain some vitamins naturally. This form of vitamin D is known as vitamin D2, or ergocalciferol. This is used in the same manner as other D vitamins and is the type used to create most of the vitamin D.

Who want to buy something on sale or with discounted price? Well, I do. And when it comes to buy any vitamin products, you can find discounted price in several ways. The common move is to wait any sale program delivered by your favorite vitamin store in your area. But this kind of discount can be difficult to meet because of the limited time and stock offered. Most vitamins on sale have limited stock, and usually with policy of first come first serve. Unless you find out the information in advance, most likely you will miss the sale.

Another way to get discounted vitamins is looking for coupons advertised on local newspaper. Many stores offer discount coupon for their vitamin products on Sunday newspaper. Just read on your Sunday newspaper to find nearest stores that offer discount coupon for vitamins purchases. Please be aware that some of the store will have rebate policy instead of instant discount, also beware that some rebate program will require you to buy other product or accessories before you can claim the rebate.

One good source of discount vitamin is to buy your purchase of any kind of vitamins in bulk. Many people overlook and under estimated the power of bulk purchase simply because they do not know what bulk purchase to get discount vitamin really is. Most likely you are going to have a better discount vitamin when you purchase in bulk from your local vitamin store. This strategy is perfect choice for kind of vitamins that you have to take on an on going basis. One of the samples of buying vitamin in bulk is C vitamin purchase.

It is very important to remember that when you purchase any vitamin in bulk quantity that your purchase does not include products that its expiration dates will run out in near future. Thus you should calculate between your need and the expiration date of the products. Don’t be tempted to buy a large amount of vitamin products simply to get the discount vitamin price. Well, at least you have to make sure that you will consume all of your buying before the expiration date achieved. One of the big mistake that people make in purchasing a discount vitamins is to overlooked the given expiration date. Well, it is okay to consume any vitamins that few days exceeding its expiration date, but in my opinion it isn’t worth to risk your health simply because you want to save a few bucks.

The Federal Drug Admistration produce a recommendation on daily intake of any vitamins, and it is important for us to follow and aware about that, which regarded as a good food health vitamin intake. Of course the recommendation vary based on a person’s sex and age, and other factors. So, a good food health vitamin intake for tenagers will be different to senior citizens.

For certain products, the food health vitamin intake amounts are mentioned in the label of nutrition fact. It is important to aware of this fact, so you can have the correct food health vitamin intake from foods that you eat. The label of nutrition fact on food products usually presented in percentage of the allowance on daily basis for each minerals and vitamins in that food product. This way we can assess the benefits of the food in the journey for good food health vitamin intake.

Some people also want to restrict a number of ingredients from a food product in their diet as part of good food health vitamin intake. Again, a label of nutrition fact can help such person to learn how low or high a certain undesirable content of a food product. Fat and salt are perfect example of such food contents. Many people limiting themselves from both salt and fat because they want to have a healthy diet.

So, people take guide of good food health vitamin intake little further by carefully selecting not only vitamin and minerals intake, but also filtering unwanted or restricted some other food contents. Most people refer to nutrients when they using the word vitamins. Food manufacturers aware of the fact that when people looking for vitamin and mineral, they also looking other items as a part of their good food health vitamin intake. Another important element that many people looks for is fiber. People aware that fiber plays an important role in a balanced diet and a necessity for good food health vitamin intake

There are many cases that people do restricted diet because of their health condition, if that’s the case, they need to pay more attention on what’s to eat and what’s not. Apparently some foods have different nutrients from other food, including vitamins and minerals. So, it is difficult for us to achieve a good food health vitamin intake if restricted to eat certain foods.

That’s the reason why vitamin supplements was invented. It was meant for people who are unable obtaining their vitamin from their daily diet, so vitamin supplements will help them to have a good food health vitamin intake. Please remember that the good food health vitamin intake for certain person will vary, depends on their age, weight, and the most important thing is their general health condition.

I bet that many of us do not know that pantothenic acid is other name for vitamin B12. This member of B complex family can be found in any kind of food, and most likely, we will not lacking of vitamin B5. The possibility of having vitamin B5 deficiency is very little because almost every natural food that we ate contain some degree of vitamin B5, and our body only need very little amount of it. So, as far as we eat our daily intake normally, we will get enough vitamin B5 for our body.

Even though we might take it for granted that we will not lacking of vitamin B5, do not under estimate its function. Since vitamin B5 no need to be calculated its daily intake, by all mean, it is still important. Vitamin B5 main task is helping our digested food to energy, especially those food made of carbohydrate and fats.

Sourse of vitamin B5 came from both vegetables and animal. As long as we adopting balance diet, means that we take food from vegetables and animal in balance, the supply of vitamin B5 will be enough. Some foods are contain higher vitamin B5 than other. Those foods that have higher degree of vitamin B5 are salmon, eggs, meat, milk, whole grains, and bean.

For your information that vitamin B5 from grains will be lost in milling process when making the whole grains in to flour. So, those delicous breads and cereal, or anything made of flour are not included as vitamin B5 good source. Vitamin B5, like other member of vitamin B family, will be ruin when over cooked, or over boiled. So, the best source of vitamin B5 most likely is natural food or lightly cooked or boiled.

In our bodily process, vitamin B5 will fuction effectively when team up with other family members of vitamin B complex. Especially B1 or thiamin, B2 or riboflavin, B3 or niacin, and B6 or pyridoxine, and biotin. Those vitamin B family are integrated in metabolic action in series of bodily process. One of important task is energy production, also known as Kerbs cycle; processing food into energy.
